The Sleeping Beauty was both completely traditional and utterly fresh.
The spell is broken and Aurora awakes. Maleficent taunts Phillip with images of Aurora sleeping, and of one day, sending him off to wake the Princess, once he and his horse Samson have aged considerably, laughing at the very idea.
The evil Carbosse storms in and curses the baby, as her invitation to the event had been overlooked.
